Transient States

Interactive installation and book design for an exhibition on Metabolism, the avant-garde movement in modern Japanese architecture history. Drawing inspiration from the Metabolist ideas of living architecture driven by biological processes, the installation animates in sync to the human heartbeat. Recurring themes of the narrative are projection mapped onto two circular discs installed on the floor and ceiling.

Content adapted from “Project Japan: Metabolism Talks” by Rem Koolhaas and Hans Ulrich Obrist. Music from
“Requiem for Victims of East Japan Earthquake” by sanmi (http://soundcloud.com/sanmi-sc)
