The hidden glitch in our reality π #simulation #mystery
In 1977, Philip K Dick proposed that our world is a programmed reality. He claimed to have the evidence in his own mind.
The author of Blade Runner and Total Recall didn’t just write sci-fi; he lived it. Dick insisted that he possessed an alternate memory of events that contradicted the timeline he was currently experiencing. To explain this, he used the analogy of a painting hanging over a fireplace, which servants could alter while the owner was out of the room. It was his way of describing a world that could be rewritten without us noticing.
This is one of the earliest and most articulate arguments for simulation theory. By questioning the stability of our surroundings, Philip K Dick forces us to confront the possibility that the physical world is merely a projection. Whether his experiences were a mental break or a genuine glimpse behind the curtain, his testimony remains a cornerstone of modern skepticism about the nature of existence.
